How to unroot OnePlus 3t [Easiest and safest way][2018]


Hello guys, Its Mad Tech Tutor :D

And today I am going to show you that how you can unroot you OnePlus 3t very easily and without any problems.

Also rooting your OnePlus phone does not voids warranty but if for some reason you want to unroot your device here are the steps :-

  1. Download the OxygenOS 5.0.1 [Stock ROM] from here.

  2. Copy the downloaded ROM .zip to your OnePlus 3t.

  3. Reboot you device to recovery mode.

  4. Factory reset your device from recovery mode.

  5. Flash the OxygenOS ROM.

  6. After the ROM has been successfully flashed. Reboot your device.

  7. After setting up your device, go to System Update in Settings and update your device to OxygenOS 5.0.2 [25 mb update] or any newer version that has arrived.

After updating your device, you will automatically have the stock recovery instead of TWRP. You will continue to receive official updates :D

If you want to lock bootloader of your device, which I DO NOT RECOMMEND since unlocked bootloader and rooting does not voids warranty of OnePlus devices. Proof:- https://oneplusstore.in/support/faq#85000005+GD00000034

MANY PEOPLE ON INTERNET HAVE PROBLEMS LOCKING BOOTLOADER OF ONEPLUS 3 AND 3T, PROCEED WITH CAUTION OR DON'T DO IT AT ALL.

Steps for locking bootloader :

  1. Reboot your device into bootloader / fastboot mode.

  2. Connect you device to you computer.

  3. Install Minimal Adb and Fastboot from here.

  4. Launch Minimal Adb and Fastboot from desktop or start menu.

  5. Type "fastboot devices" to check if your device is listed.

  6. After that type "fastboot flashing lock" or "fastboot oem lock"

  7. Reboot your device after successful locking.
